Deogarh. Odisha Union of Journalists; affiliated to National Union of Journalists (India) had submitted memorand to State Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi demanding enactment of Journalist Protection Act and to fulfill the assurances given to media persons during last general election.

The Deogarh District Unit of the Odisha Union of Journalists (OUJ) has submitted a memorandum to the Hon’ble Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Shri Suresh Pujari, urging the Government of Odisha to implement the Journalist Protection Act in the state.

OUJ members has presented memorandum to Cuttack Collector addressed to Chief Minister demanding enactment of Journalist Protection Act. Many district units of OUJ are submitting memorandum to the concerned authoirties, demanding JPA.
